Also, this game is somewhat difficult near the beginning half, so please do not be discouraged if you die often. (and to for the old textbox i used-it was great and really simple, I just had trouble with layering the characters after a while T^T thank you though!) - Dragon Quest by Square ENIX for enemy sprites - obviously for co-developing this project, your contributions were life-saving <3 - MS Paint for being a surprisingly great tool for making backgrounds for battles - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - DEV LOG: [January 23 (V0.01)] - Finally starting this project up again. Made the title screen, dumped all the music, and started working on a bunch of assets with a friend for a bit [January 24(V0.03)] - I did a bunch of work for when you begin the game, which includes a naming system and more music integration and layering stuff. Also began some work on the player and their movement/animation cycles and I will also will start on the opening cutscenes soon! [January 25(V0.04)] - A huge amount of battle work today, working on simply preparing the system for different enemies in the future. [January 27(V0.05)] - More battle work (by more, I mean an INCREDIBLY LARGE AMOUNT), nothing much here. Also am considering adding a credits screen in the main menu or maybe a soundtrack controller that you can turn on in the menu? I don't really know yet, so I'll set that idea aside for now. [January 28-30(V0.05 still)] - A lot of work on just one or two things that take a lot of time for these four days-more battle work, revamped textbox, first cutscene and tutorial, etc. [January 31(STILL V0.05)] - I imported 977 tiles and object sprites to use for later. This is probably important. [February 1(V0.06)] - Made a couple areas and went back to battle work today-NEVERMIND, I CREATED THE ENTIRE MOVEMENT SYSTEM FLAWLESSLY I GUESS. But yeah, I'm nearing the completion of the BASIC battle system. [February 3(V0.06 still)] - Once again, simply trying to finish the battle system and get it to the point of having SOME functionality; once I get that done, any versions of the game that happen (which will happen quite often) will include more areas, dialogue, plot development, and items. Lots and lots of items [February 7(V0.07)] - Battle work. This is such a pain T^T [February 8(V0.08)] - If I had a nickel for every time I did nothing but battle work for an entire day, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
