you can probably already tell what this is about, if you've been on Scratch in the past 24 hours. A giant green thing slapped you in the pace and was just like: New TOS! And you have to tell us what state you live in! And me, being a CHILD on a CHILDREN'S WEBSITE, just said: this can't be anything bad, most of the people here are children! and inputted my state and clicked accept. boy was I stupid to do that. I logged on the next day to see a bunch of projects that were like: OMG THEY'RE TRAINING AI ON US! and I decided to actually read the TOS lol. And I found that they are, indeed, training AI on us. LITERAL CHILDREN. That's just wrong. I'm considering actually leaving, but I'll still be on my DA, CharacterHub, p!ntr!st, and Cara accounts. (Thatonehunterslime, L3m0n-Th3-Silly, L3m0n-Th3-Silly, and lemonthesilly) I'm not leaving for good yet, but I might. and if I do I might actually delete my account. and I don't really care either. none of the art I did on here was actually good and nobody cared about it either. (nobody really cares about my art in general lol, but I just don't want to be on Scratch now.) So I'm at least going to be taking a hiatus and putting AI disturbance filters or glaze over my art, because now I'm paranoid about my art getting used without consent. I'm a child, after all. so it's not good at all to scrape art off of me, and every other child on this site. that doesn't mean it's okay to do it to adults either, because that is usually their JOB. And even if its not generative AI, it still kinda sucks, if it's a coding AI especially. Scratch is supposed to promote creativity, and getting an AI assistant to do that for you is just wrong, especially for kids. Bye for now. probs not forever. but maybe.
