Motto ~ Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footsteps on the moon -- Paul Brandt ----------------------------- Why I Want to Curate -------------------------------- The coding world needs more girls. 92% of coders are men, yet studies show WOMEN are actually better coders (sorry). Why? Growing up, even today, women are put down they want to follow their dreams. They lose self confidence. Teaching them NOW that coding IS meant for them would bring more women into the coding world. Scratch is FULL of girls, girls with potential and a serious love for coding. But they remain in the shadows, scared to come out because of fear of being rejection. But if I were FPC, I would find those coders, the ones who remain in the shadows and bring them into the light, giving them the self confidence that they CAN succeed in the light, CAN pursue their dreams as a female coder. --------------------------------- Requirements -------------------------------------- [Note] There are always exceptions to these, when there are exceptional projects. [Note] There is not a follower limit for the user, as many users deserve all their followers and have never been curated, so taking away the joy of being curated does not seem right. For project ~ Less than 300 views, 70 loves, and 50 favorites Credit given to needed sources For user~ Follows all rules More than 2 projects Scratcher ------------------------------------ Projects I Like ----------------------------------- [Note] Though my reason implies it, I would NOT only curate girls, but favor projects advertising female rights and independence. .: Projects that strongly support a cause :. .: Projects that inspire or encourage others :. .: Simulations -- These projects take months of time, dedication, and planning that need to be rewarded. :. .: Projects that simply make me laugh :. ^^^ These may be really simple, but so many deserve to be recognized
