I'm a teenager living in the US and I use any pronouns. I've been in gens for over a year, and I currently run the litter project. My hobbies include reading and ice skating in the winter. Her color scheme really caught my eye (though all the designs in this litter are stunning), and I've been looking for a new kit for a while. Plus, UrchinClan is my favorite clan. "Oh, I care, I care, I care, like perfume that you wear" ✰ Activity and experience As I said earlier, I've been in gens for over a year. I've had many different characters, but my two favorites (both were a while ago though) were Ceruleandream and Celestialsky. I'd rate my current activity a 6.5/10 since I have no reason to be on here besides gens and litters, but I'd probably be more active with a character. I'm able to be on most times of day besides the middle of the night and all days of the week. "I linger all the time, watching hidden in plain sight" ✰ Personality [ Simplified ] (+) Friendly, Lighthearted, Quick-thinking (=) Adventurous, Chatty, Ambitious (-) Jealous, Dismissive, Apathetic [ Expanded ] If you meet her for only a few minutes, Sunflower is an extroverted, if slightly airheaded, young cat. She doesn't seem to have ill intent nor malicious thoughts. However, if you stay a while, become her friend, you'll see things differently. Sunflowerkit has something of an ego. Other cats don't matter much to her. Feelings, desires, lives, they're all below her. She wants what she wants and she'll do whatever she has to to get it. Despite claims that she needs nothing of those lesser cats, Sunflowerkit is vehemently jealous of all those who have more than her. Those in power she is most envious of. She doesn't see why she can't have it. It's not fair. She deserves it. Sun can be charming sometimes, if she wants to be. But it's hard being nice, when everyone else is everything she hates and everything she wants. I don't want leader (even if sunflowerkit does), so if medic doesn't work out I'll just have her be an incredibly bitter warrior that probably goes off to live as a loner eventually. At first, she's not /evil/ as much as a bit mean, but she'll eventually become more evil as she sees everyone getting what she doesn't have. The trivia section of this is still a bit WIP, but I'll add more later for sure. While this is often represented as being very neat and clean, OCD is not this at all. I. What is OCD? Obsessive-Compulsive disorder is a mental health disorder in which the one with it has unwanted thoughts (Obsessions) and typically does compulsions to make those thoughts stop or go away. It is a lifelong condition and is often very debilitating. While the official cause of it is unknown, genetics and childhood experiences are theorized to partially or fully be the cause of it. Some common themes of OCD (themes being the topic that the impulsive thoughts are of) include fears of being contaminated with germs, fears of purposefully or accidentally harming someone, worries of doing something socially unacceptable (e.g. being racist or sexist by accident) and religious/moral obessions (e.g. worrying you have offended (a) god). If one had, say, an obsession centered on harming others, they may worry they will one day get mad and injure someone, even if they have never felt the impulse to hurt someone when angry. To prevent this, they may repeatedly check throughout the day to see if they feel like harming someone, or they may ask family members to make sure they never did before (even if they are sure they never did). They may also avoid things like knives out of the worry that they'll accidentally drop it on someone and hurt them. People with OCD are generally aware that their worries are irrational, but still feel great anxiety at the thoughts. Having OCD does not mean one with actually do the things they are worried about and it does not make someone automatically clean or organized. ii. How does OCD affect Sunflowerkit? Sunflowerkit's OCD will begin to majorly affect her life in early apprenticeship, 6-8 moons, but it will show up as early as 2 moons. Her OCD will be mainly focused, at least at first, on getting a disease or illness. + in n/c
Dens will feel cramped to her, as who knew if another cat in there had a contagious virus? She'll make frequent trips to the medic den to ensure she isn't actually sick (I won't RP this too much as to not annoy medics) and generally has a hard time in confined spaces. She prefers to catch her own prey and examines it closely before eating. It is not uncommon for her to stay up late into the night, trying to mentally make sure she did not encounter anything that may infect her. If a cat so much as coughs on her, she'll rush off to the ocean to try and wash it off. She may also (with varying degrees of success) try to memorize herbs to heal different ailments even if she is not a medic. When talking to others, she'll often be thinking and trying to figure out their health status.
