I've noticed a lot of people talking about AI lately, so I want to talk. First off, before I write anything else, this is meant to be a civil discussion. Any arguments or rude comments will be ignored. Hi, I'm Shark. I've been on Scratch for eight years. I was never popular, I never posted much, I just had a few projects I was happy with that I privated many years ago. I still linger around here to see the cool things people make. But I have been seeing a lot of talk about AI. I am a writer. I write all my own works; however, I use AI. I'm not using it to write for me, but to aid me. For example, I have a book I am writing. It started as a hazy idea that I could not see clearly. I used the popular AI language model ChatGPT by OpenAI to help clear the fog surrounding my idea. I know that people have been against ChatGPT on its own, but now, if I understand correctly, everyone is upset that Scratch Projects are now subject to aid in AI training. I suppose I can understand why people would be upset, especially the artists on this website. However, in my opinion, advances in AI are unavoidable. Is it a little weird they're using Scratch for it? Yeah. Maybe a little.
I want to make this very clear... This is NOT for... (1) Arguments (2) Disputes (3) Harassment This is FOR... (1) Discussion (2) Understanding (3) Civil Conversation. I am NOT here to change my views on how I use AI. I am here to talk to everyone who sees this project about what they're thinking right now. As mentioned before, ALL NEGATIVE/AGGRESSIVE COMMENTS WILL BE IGNORED.
