I mainly just don’t like Jax as a character, but this ship really doesn’t work for me. Jax is incredibly manipulative, sadistic and abusive, and he didn’t even care about Pomni when they fought. The only reason he pushed her away was because he was scared of losing somebody, and he never considered how she felt. (TAWOG) Carwin: I know this one is canon, but I think it’s also just kinda toxic. Carrie pushes people around all the time- including Darwin- and rarely ever apologises for her actions. She gets incredibly angry and abusive over the smallest things and I think that Darwin is strangely tolerant of it. He deserves better. (There’s also the fact that she’s 327 years old and Darwin is 10…) (Stranger Things) Byler: I’ve explained my problems with this ship before, but here we are again, I guess. It is mainly just the fandom with this one, and people trying to shove the pairing in your face 24/7, getting mad if you don’t agree with it and complaining all the time when doesn’t end up being canon. The ship itself always just felt kinda awkward to me and I think they’re better off as friends. Also Mike was already in a relationship with Eleven. (Doctor Who) Riverdoc: Again, I know this one is also canon. I have a number of problems with it though. I find River to be quite manipulative towards the Doctor most of the time. They’re also canonically married, but they only really see each other every 10-50 years due to time travel problems. They’ve both cheated on each other a number of times, and the age gap between them is constantly changing- also because of more time travel problems. It’s just… not the best pairing. Anyway, that’s all. You can disagree in the comments and share your points of view, but just please don’t try and start fights or anything.
