The Bunker - Elements: Machinery, Toxic, Oddity, Undead Bio: Almost three thousand years ago now, Bunker #1 was a considered to be something of a monumental moment in history. The beginning of a new era, the people had said! The beginning of the future! But those people? They never really quite knew what happened behind closed doors. Back there, scientists were beginning lives...yet also ending them. Playing god, and yet, at the same time, playing death. But unless you were one of them? Those secrets would stay just that. Secrets. Yet after some time, the excitement began to die down, just as it always did. And in turn, the scientists grew...sloppier. Less secretive. Gossip about what exact /kind/ of experiments these scientists were performing began to escape to the outside, and they spread like wildfire, unable to be stopped or even slowed. Soon enough, funding was cut, before the citizens of Bunker #1 could even do anything about it. And they quickly grew desperate. Starving. One outrageous failed experiment after the other, as their ideas slowly came crashing down upon their heads. Until it all fell to the pinnacle. Of course! Why hadn't they thought of it earlier? They needed to create something... unthinkable. Creating life was commonplace at this point, practically child's play. But what about creating a capable mind? One to perhaps even rival their own? The Abomination's creation was a miracle, at first. A savior, a trophy to be put on display. Until it started asking too many questions. Though the scientists could keep it occupied, sedated, for a while...The Abomination looked upon the broken bodies of its fellow experiments, and felt nothing but disgust for its creators. Did these monsters quite understand what they were doing? Were they even /deserving/, to have The Abomination in their shared space? As some sort of trophy, to be marveled at and admired, while such atrocities went ignored?...No. No, perhaps not, the creature supposed. And so, one day, it lashed out. Not with violence, but with words. And yet, that was all it took for it to be locked away! What was once a miracle became nothing but an abomination, and the citizens of Bunker had lost their final chance almost as quickly as they had received it. And it appeared, so had The Abomination. But that assumption? It was the last mistake the scientists of Bunker would ever made...One day, without warning, or with any premonition, Bunker went silent. Communications were nothing but static, and all doors appeared to welded tightly shut. There was gossip, of course. Rumors that just couldn't be shut down. But as with most things of that nature, they were all forgotten fairly quickly. And along with it, went the memory that Bunker had ever even existed in the first place...As the years passed, flora and fauna began to slowly consume the research facility, as if claiming it as just another part of the forest. And perhaps it would've been better, to just let it stay that way! But three thousand years later, a drone on its last spark of life was informed of a damaged construct, in the nearby vicinity. A final mission to complete. As a machine crashed through ceiling, sent for repair...Bunker suddenly awoke, eyes opening to the world for the first time in centuries. As if nothing had ever happened here in the first place. As if nothing ever /could/ happen.
