Attention scratchers!! You probably already know about the new scratch terms of service. If not, here’s a project that explains what’s happening very well. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1269751874 As the users of this website, we have power in numbers. If we peacefully protest this new addition to the website, the team might listen to us. I suggest we boycott. We pick a week where nobody gets online. Nobody posts, nobody comments, just dead silence from the entire scratch community. Spread the word, post projects, let the CEO know how against the new terms of service we are. At least convince them to add an opt out option. (Also!! This is not an incentive to be rude and disrespectful to the scratch team. We can do this in a civilized manner) February 1st to the 7th, we boycott. From your friendly neighborhood Wyv.
All credits to @91207! I will be participating in this boycott, and I strongly suggest reading the original project for more info. Please remix the original to help spread awareness! This plan will only work if enough people share their voice. I don’t want to give up years of my life simply because of a policy, so I’ve decided that I will help so that no one else has to either. I’ve known people who already have, though, so the least we can do is make sure that they have not done it in vain. It takes a lot to decide that, and I’m going to offer support any way I can, starting with this.
