After all of the protesting the community made, scratch team (the account) released an announcement, which explains a lot more on the current situation. The first part of this message states, "We also want to assure you that right now, we are training AI models on Scratcher's data." So no, the AI isn't using our work for generative content, but "for a better experience" and to "fuel kid's imagination". (I'm guessing AI tools in the scratch editor) Stuff like that I guess. (Even so, I'm not sure what the AI itself does, but for now, I'll stick to what I know. (this isn't the full announcement, so if you want to see the entirety of it, it's on the scratch home page)
