TW: Gore (in art scene), caps Click images to progress | v ˚₊‧꒰ა ✦ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ Soul Catcher -I think my friend wanted him to be called Soulvester 'cause he's a DW addict -He/Him -His lil antennae glow -The crystal detailing on his chest plate is Nether quartz smelted in soul fire Soulvester BACKSTORY (So far): (I recommend scrolling and reading WORLDBUILDING first) Soulvester is a prince from the Soul Sand Valley, he wants to return to the Overworld to see if it can be saved since not all cats in the Nether are bad. He sneaks through his family's Nether Portal one night, during the Relinquishing. He ends up underneath the grass- where he sees a cave not unlike the Nether, with lava, gold... and stone, diamonds, iron, glow lichen, and different chambers, cliffs, and paths! (he was not a fan of the open floor plan in the Nether) He tries to dig further down to find the Overworld. (because, as we know, you can go down in the Nether, but the bedrock is above.) He goes to and from the Nether and the Overworld for a long time. Then one night he's about to fall asleep, and he realises he has to dig upwards. (insert meme) So yeah, the next day, he starts from the bottom where he was working before, all ready to begin digging upwards, then BAM, The Empress shows herself. She attacks him from behind (as shown in the scene artwork), tussles with him a bit, but lets him go. She warns him he is too young and naive for what is up there and commands him to go back. He obeys, because who wouldn't obey the creepy cat who is the goddess of your world and has a spooky aura and can fly without wings. Then we can only assume, that Soulvester waits for a few months out of fear then goes back to work lol. -That's all I got for now !!WORLDBUILDING!! -Everyone is a cat except for mobs that cats eat, like rabbits, fish, etc. So a creeper is a cat. A piglin is a cat. Villagers are cats. -Except there are no villagers, because the Overworld has become an empty wasteland, a great war took place there and every cat died, and since the Overworld was technically heaven, every cat went to the Nether (Hell). -There are 5 sections of the Nether, the 5 main biomes, Nether Wastes, Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, Soul Sand Valley, and Basalt Deltas. Each biome has one Nether portal that leads to the Overworld. -The royal families of the Nether have their palace/base/yk surrounding their portal, guard it, and control who goes through. Members of the royal family have 1-4 wings depending on their status. -Each family gets to decide the details, but there is an Empress who sets the basic rules and will punish the families for their faults, and even appoint new rulers of regions. Nobody knows where The Empress resides. -The Relinquishing. Kind of the equivalent of our 'Sunday', where they worship The Empress, they are silent the entire day, and sacrifice their one most valuable possession to the temple that stands at the centre of where all the biomes connect, to show their utmost submission to The Empress. -There are also different statuses for non-royal cats. ? ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖THE EMPRESS ˖ ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖ -Her real name is a secret -She/Her -She has long dark purple fur with a marbled pattern of rippling darker purple. It is very matted. -She can fly without wings. -It is rumored she defeated the ender dragon, and she resides in The End. -She wears a halo made of cracked bone (it has moss and bl00d speckling on it) -Her eyes glow white. -It is a wonder she still has her heart- it is very vulnerable; visible, practically unprotected, and may be the way to defeat her. -She comes through the Nether Wastes portal to retrieve offerings on the Relinquishing because it is the least protected (piglin cats are highly unintelligent, and nobody bothers to invade them because The Empress commanded them to keep to their own kingdoms except for trade dealings- all piglin cats care about are chests and gold) | v -STUFF (lol)- The headshot images I made are bad quality because I took a picture of my tablet... ^^; I made up The Empress OC for this, grrrr I love her. Too bad Soulvester has to defeat her.
