This is a poem about a river. The poem is in Notes + Credits. What inspired me is a lovely little brook I love to visit and when I heard a nature soundtrack and a water sound was in it. I love how powerful and majestic rivers are. And I guess that's what inspired this poem. Can you hear that? Twinkling like stars, Humming sweet melodies As it weaves its way over stones, Giggling and babbling, Innocent like a newborn baby. Can you feel that? The soft whisper Of stories untold and secrets stored Behind a veil of clear, writhing glass. Carrying away evil and sin On the soft current, Like cool, gentle hands against your ankles. Can you see that? Thousands of unique shapes and colours Soaked into the jagged stones lining the sand. The clear threads dancing their way Through trees and valleys, Carving its way through life, Leaving a long, crystal stain on our world. What a privilege it must be To be a river. Peaceful, Untroubled, Free.
