It was a bad decision to jump. I landed flat on my face on the grass near the train. I got up and brushed the dirt off my pants. Then I turned around and saw the train going way slower than it should've been. Elara was sticking her head out of the window I jumped from. She saw me and yelled "Diane, what are you doing? Get back on the train right now!" I smiled and shook my head. "What do you mean no? You are going to be left behind!" Elara screamed. I turned around and closed my eyes. "Make the train faster... make the train faster..." I thought, concentrating as hard as I could. I heard a 'whoosh' and turned around. The train was almost out of sight, but still close enough that Elara could see me. "Elara... ELARA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I shouted at the top of my lungs, watching as she climbed out of the train via window. She jumped down and landed on the ground softly. Then Elara disappeared into the plants and trees. And that is when I lost it. Actually, to say that I lost it is an understatement. I was freaking out until the point I was full on sobbing hysterically as well. And then, Elara popped up right behind me and tapped my shoulder. Yeah, I kinda overreacted. "Diane? Can we go back onto the train?" she asked softly. I tried to calm down and wiped my tears. "How, Elara? It's gone?" I asked, irritated. "Well, maybe you can do some magic to help? I saw how you made the train go fast." she asked. I laughed, but not out of happiness. "I can try. But I might not be able to." I replied. I focused again and tried to think about the train coming back to us. I opened my eyes, and there it was, slowly approaching us. It rolled to a stop. We ran onto the train and it started moving super fast. Kids were poking their heads out of their compartments, but they didn't acknowledge that they noticed what just happened. I turned to Elara, but she wasn't there. I panicked again, running to the compartment we were sitting at. And yes, Elara was there, sitting peacefully. "Oh, there you are, Diane." she said, glancing over. "Did you go to the restroom?" Elara asked. "What, no. We were just outside of the train." I said, confused. "No, we weren't. You said you had to go, you opened the compartment door, and you left. We never went outside." she replied. Then it hit me. No one cared about what just happened... because no one remembered what happened. There were probably thousands of kids on the train, but I... I was the only one who knew.
