What's good everyone! I have a huge update for y'all! And trust me, you aren't gonna want to miss this. So, my school is currently is 3 days (last Friday + this Monday & Tuesday) into synchronous learning (it essentially how we all learned in 2020, but each class is 25 minutes with a 5 minute passing period in between each) because it snowed like crazy here, and it's hella cold (no joke, if I went outside, I'd get frostbite in about 30 minutes, as It's 1 degrees F, and feels like -18). So I've been stuck at home for 5 days, and my motivation to do anything is draining a little (aka, my depression is rising). On top of that, I have freshmen orientation tomorrow, DnD club on Friday, and ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association) Solo & Ensemble on Saturday. So I've got a lot. However, what I wanted to say was that my state (Indiana*, if you haven't figured it out yet.), has a something called the "21st Century Scholars" program. Basically, it's a way certain students (usually from low to middle class families) to be able to afford college. It pays 100% of all tuition fees in Indiana public colleges, and partial in Indiana private colleges. The college I want to go to is Ball State University for a Major in Animation production and Jazz education/Studies (that's around $20,570–$62,990 a year). Ball State is a public college... and. I qualify to apply for the 21st Century Scholars program! Meaning with a good head on my shoulders (I need at least a 2.5 GPA to qualify, and I have a 3.8 right now), and a little luck, I could have my college completely paid for! And the dorm room I'd want ( a studio, because of Jazz education) is about $4,533 per semester! So, I say all that to say this, I am really happy right now, and I feel a lot more confident for my future (trust me, some days, I've told myself that I'll get nowhere in life). So who knows, y'all might just be talking to the next Max Fleischer (one of the best animators to live, eat your heart out, Walt), or the next Louis Armstrong (one of the best Trumpet players to live), though I'm probably not going to be inventing a new animation style (or 20), but ya never know! Alrighty, I'm hoppin' off for the night. It's been a pleasure, and I'll continue to post information as I receive it. #VicForCollege (lol, if that catches on, I'll be laughing like crazy)! Bye for now, and remember: drink water (trust me on this one).
*: Note, on my profile, I mention being from Sydney, Ohio. While that is true (I was born there), I moved to where I'm at now (not saying the city because I'm not that stupid) before December, 2012. Note: Everyone say hi to Charles (the face I drew in like 15 seconds). He will return. 1 comment = 1 food for Charles (nah, I'm joking). Songs: The Boys are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy (I've recently fell in love with this song for no reason whatsoever), Vivir mi Vida by Marc Anthony (¡Puerto Rico es numbero uno!)
