Bad news, guys… My beloved dog Mia passed away yesterday night at 8:35 pm. She was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease a week earlier, so my dad and I took her to the vet yesterday morning. They ran some tests on her. Her kidneys were failing and her blood sugar was very high. They kept her for a few hours to give her an IV. Since they couldn’t keep her overnight, we had to take her back home. She laid down under the kitchen counter, so my mom put a blanket on her. Her breathing began to get heavier. Then, while my mom was praying for her, she stopped breathing. I was in tutoring but I had to end the session early when I got the news. I’m absolutely devastated. My family and I are grieving right now, but we have to move forward. We will be getting her cremated and her ashes will be spread. Hopefully Mia is in doggy heaven, eating all the chicken she wants.
