Slogan: “Built for everyone. Perfect for every day.” The Aubai A16 was a series of small, affordable and reliable economy cars. It was introduced to give everyone a simple, affordable, mass‑produced car that could replace (and potentially outlive) the much, much older and aging Aubai Motors models at the time. It came with soft top and roof rack accessories, a two-tone paint job, as well as convertible, coupe, wagon, and van versions, which didn't seem like many variety but felt plenty for many during the era. In 1989, as a way to commemorate the brand's OFFICIAL 100th anniversary, a special and rare “Heritage Edition” was also auctioned off to 16 private, anonymous buyers. It is mainly based off of the iconic Trabant 601, which is literally one of @aubai2016's most favorite cars. It was officially retired in 1991 with only 2,160,910 units produced. NOTE: The Aubai A16 "Heritage Edition" is NOT for sale!!! >:(
