Hey. You. Don't click off. Don't dismiss this right away. This is an attempt by members of the community YOU work hard to create. And others do too. We attempt to oppose an idea that's been opposed by many, but never heard. Don't misinterpret this. This is not complaining and grieving. This is users who use and utilize this site every day, and care for it and its community. In other words, this is passion from users that feel strongly about what I'm speaking about. And what in question am I speaking about? Recently, around a week ago, (at the time that I post this) Scratch updated their terms of service (TOS). You may have seen this on the forums. However, the update in question was to allow AI bots to be able to nearly automate the project publishing process, with possibly no way to clarify whether the project that made it on trending was made in seconds. This furthermore takes the fun out of coding on the site for a majority of people. As @RickDaStick commented on the update, "What's the point if a project will be made anyway?" This, as described in the quote above, takes the fun out of projects due to automation. Of course, this also raises quite a few questions about how well this will actually be implemented. Firstly, how do you know if you see a new project, whether the user that made it is a real person? In my opinion, no one should have to question the reality of users on a site that is supposed to be MADE FOR KIDS. Second, what if these supposed bots can use the comment feature? This raises the same questions as the above, as in a couple of possible scenarios. This gives us a chance to slow AI in kids' lives.
