Kids are eager to learn. Some do it more efficiently. Some believe that what they learn in school will never actually benefit them in the long run. They believe that even years and years worth of education sets back years and years of actually living life. Children are wasting away by shoving their brains full of knowledge that will only be relevant to the kids who are going far. There are three types of kids, one group that cares about their grades, who studies late into the night to perform well on quizzes and exams, who check their grades constantly as a reminder of their own success. Then you have the kids who are quite the opposite. They see reasons where other people stress. Grades are temporary and so is life. School now is just competing for top marks, rather than absorbing the education that is so carelessly thrown at them. They understand that life is not life if life isn’t lived where other kids see assignments they see paper with text perfectly printed. It means nothing to them. They much rather enjoy their youth. Then there are the kids in the middle. The ones who seemingly don’t care but as soon as the reality of their actions set in suddenly the world is crumbling. They do care they are just indecisive, do they understand how their actions affect them in the long run? But they also fear that they are truly wasting away. None of these children are wrong. The illusion of education is merely a cage, will it help you? Will it be your downfall? You will decide by the way you look at education. It also decides the way you look at a challenge. Nothing is truly beneficial but the consequences of not doing well far outway the actual benefits of education.
