It's only died down recently because of that viral Tyla concert post in India, and people were geniunely surprised that "india has baddies" like no we're not just poor slums all throughout. Every country has some kind of area that suffers poverty. Every ethnicity group has their own beauty. We cannot just apply stereotypes to the general population of a specific demographic/minority group and pretend its okay. It's rude and disrespectful, and promotes hate which can be considered discrimination in this case. I think we were letting it slide because A. These stereotypes are being disguised as "jokes" and most of us just brush it off or have brushed it off in the past because we don't want to seem like we can't take a joke. B. It's the internet. It's more difficult for there to be legal consequences online, especially when a lot of people are doing it. These comments and posts are buried under millions of others. C. A lot of content that relates to India only shows its poor side, and its coming from foreign tourists that imply that Indians don't know how to take care of themselves, behave themselves, etc. It's misinformation spread online. I'm glad the hate is dying down a bit but at what cost? People are so fake, like what do you mean only if people are "conventionally attractive" in a minority group you'll accept them?? Hello? HAS BASIC HUMAN DECENCY DIED?? okiee thats my yaps *mic drop* 6. A doodle I made that I now consider a new oc, what should her name be?? Also I wanna diversify my characters EVEN MORE!! Such as adding animal bodily features and fusing them with human ones!! Heheheh, not stopping at fur but also scales and feathers (prepare for more character refs...) 7.
