So, I need some help. I have been thinking about the main character and I am worried that she has too many overused traits and that some things in the plot and story are done too often. So I need help figuring out if there really are to many of the same repeated elements in my story or if I am just thinking to hard Warning might have some spoilers (but probably nothing that gives away too much) -first, she is a rebellious teen aged character. Now she isn’t rebelling in small ways and it’s not for no reason.in the beginning if the story she is basically just trying to survive a lot of the bad things around her, and as the story goes on she starts actively fighting against the things she has been trying to survive and hide from. Leading into a part where she at least takes a role in leading a rebellion and becoming an anti hero. -second, she is a sort of chosen one character. When she was young this creature called the middle realm beast takes pity on her because it has seen her future and knows it is bad.so it does give her powers, now in this world about 10% of people do have some kind of power, but clovers happens to be stronger then most and also there are parts of the story where she directly gets help from this creature recurringly. I could fix this by having this beast maybe not actually have been taking potty in her but actually using her to gain power, if I really needed it to balance things out but idk how I feel about this detail -her parents are dead is another thing, I mean I have been considering maybe her parents are still out there but she doesn’t know but even then her parents won’t have a big part of the story. Honestly I would rather just exclude them then add unnecessary side characters who do little to nothing for the plot -the character does end up with a lot of trauma. And I don’t want it to feel like I am dumping unnecessary trauma on a character but so far I think I have balanced it out pretty well with what happens to her being something that has significance for the plot These are the main things I am worried about and I don’t want the story to be boring or the character to be unlikable or feel overdone. Any help I greatly appreciated and if you have questions about things that happen in order to get a better understanding of how the story will go and how all of these things will play on the story feel free to ask. It may have spoilers in the answer but I will give them if you are trying to help And before you comment please don’t be overly mean about it! Please don’t just straight up insult me or anything for this, I still want y’all’s opinions but don’t be mean about it if possible please because I will overthink it if you are being mean and it will lead to me not being motivated enough
