After the Favorite Character Awards, the circus was quiet. Everyone was mostly in their rooms, Except Pomni. Pomni was worried about Jax after the fight and with him. He’s been by himself ever since the the the awkwardness of the award show. She walked through the noiseless hallway the only sound was her shoes on the silly cartoon hallway. Pomni found the doorway that Jax’s door was always located in between frog door with a big X marked on it, and a yellow clown door on the other side with a big red X. Pomni knew who that was, he was Kaufmo the clown, the one who told many terrible jokes or at least what Ragatha had told her. He abstracted before Pomni met him. She and Ragatha came a little too late. Yet, Pomni always had a wonder for the other door, the one with the frog with a small red bowtie. Jax always stared at it and almost looked….vulnerable which was unusual for the usual brash purple bunny. Pomni knocked softly on his door “Jax?” No answer Pomni blinked in confusion before concern flashed in her eyes. “JAAAAAX?!” The door opened with a soft click Jax large silhouette appears. “Way to interrupt my nap Pomni.” He said rolling his eyes, his voice was hoarse but stern but hidden conflict was under it. Pomni stuttered for a minute. “Uh this is the second ‘nap’ you’ve taken…are you ok?…after, you know…what happened?” “Peachy keen Pomni!” Jax said in a confabulation “peachy keen….” “…..Jax…” Pomni said softly grabbing his arm before he could close the door. Jax’s expression turns conflicted to run and hide, or to open up. like a kid about to get in trouble. Pomni’s expression softens slightly seeing his hesitation and she loosens her grip. “I just want to talk.” Jax swiftly removes his hand from her surprisingly strong grip, putting on a plastic cocky smile though his rectangular pupils are dilated slightly. “my emotions are complicated I just am that way!” Pomni shifts to the other side “so…did I make you mad? Or sad…” Jax froze, his fake smile widened “like I said my emotions are complicated, now let me sleep.” he tried to close the door again but Pomni sternly grabbed the door before he could close it “why are you being like this? What the (BONK) happened to you?!” Jax eyes flashed dangerously not in anger directly at her, but at himself. “I said I’m…FINE.” Pomni flinches. “S-sorry I wont ask again i-if you need me I’ll be…here.” she walks away genuinely hurt of his accusation. Guilt washed over Jax. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing comes out. He closes his door. Pomni watched his door slowly closed the cocky smile that she mourned for, mounted on his door in a white circle like all the other doors to see which is which. She walked down the hallways and stopped, near where her conversation she had a few hours before everything went downhill.
From this careless bunny it was surprisingly accurate. “We all just…fall into our archetypes..become part of the machine!” Said Jax putting his hands in his pockets.“what’s your archetype then the villain?” Pomni said sarcastically. Jax rolled his eyes and points at himself “listen I have a key dynamic! I see how far I can push things, I screw with people, and I break the fourth wall! Ya know why? Because it’s funny! I do everything cause its funny! Cause I’m the funny one!” Pomni tilts her head “the funny one?” “Yeah!” Jax chirped “Ragatha the cheerful one, Gangle the sad one,…Kinger the CRAZYYYY one, Zooble’s the grumpy one, and YOU are the one that hasn’t figured the out yet. We all just became archetypes. I at least I have the self-awareness to choose who I am.”he pointed at himself again to make a point. Pomni held her head “the funny one…” she repeats trying to make sense of it all. Jax kneels down to her level putting his hands on her shoulder “so who do you wanna be? No better chance then finding out! You ya wanna go nuts? Wanna bring out those weeks of RAGE that’s been building up inside you?” Jax gently guides her shaky hands toward the target. “I know you hate it here….we all do but the silver lining is we can do whatever we want! Just let it loose! Pomni took a deep breath with a bang she hit the target. She was shocked of herself, she actually hit the target. Then she sighs again. “Oh what the heck ,I’m just gonna be evil! How’s that sound?” Jax chuckled and swung his arms, standing up. “Hehe go for it!” Pomni stood up more straighter “y-yeah! Those fools better watch their tails! Cause there about to face the wrath, OF POMNI THE EVILLLLLLLL hehehehehehMWAHAHAHAHAHA” The memory made Pomni giggle, she loved being unserious with him she knew something was wrong after their argument. Pomni glanced at Jax’s door then Ragatha’s across it. She knew that Jax did not want to talk. So she decided to have a small chat with Ragatha to pass the time. She walks over to Ragatha’s room her bells on her jester suit jingle softly. She knocks on the door. Suddenly a shout came from her room. “CAINE I DON’T WANT YOUR WAFFLE FRIES” Pomni blinked in confusion. “What?” She laughed at the absurd comment. Ragatha opened the door. “Oh sorry Pomni. Caine’s weird ideas to get everyone out of their rooms is just…odd to me. Caine earlier was trying to get me out of my room by offering Waffle fries….It was weird” she shuddered. Pomni tilt her head and snickered. “I see…..oh don’t worry, I’m just…worried about…Jax.” She said slowly Ragatha’s face slightly darkened. “Yesh he’s been very, very unusual since the last in-house adventure…..” She pauses for a moment looking at Jax’s door. “Would you believe me if I told you that he was actually….nice once?” She looked back at Pomni. Pomni smiled slightly at the thought of Jax being sweet “heh…I would believe it” Ragatha stepped aside letting Pomni in. “come, I’ll explain everything” Ragatha’s room was.. warm and sweet it was very very unique. But also Beautiful in it’s own way. A small piano, it had flower decoration all over and some books. Any child would dream to even be in this room. Pomni looked around a little, Ragatha sat on her bed patting the spot next to her. “Y-you have a nice room.” Pomni said quietly. Ragatha scratched her head. “heh…yeah it reminds me of my little sister she loved horses” Ragatha said holding a pillow toward her stomach. “I didn’t talk to her a lot…you know, cause I’ve been…busy with my real estate and stuff.” Ragatha said fidgeting with her hair Pomni looked at her “how old was she when you…came here?” She said carefully. “probably 12 at that time” Ragatha said in nostalgia. “I always use to…give her piggy back rides, sometimes taught her how to cook, her own horse riding sessions” Ragatha giggled quietly. “Always the best times” she sighs “she probably 20 by now” Pomni smiled. “Im sure she remembered you still….” “Oh I surely do hope” Ragatha said quietly. “Anyway were getting off topic here. What were you saying about Jax?” they talked for a while maybe hours, about Jax’s weird behavior. “He’s always been distance since….her abstraction” Ragatha said. “Who’s?” Pomni asked quietly. Ragatha looked at the door that Pomni always wondered…the same door Jax stares at when he thinks no one is looking: the one with the green frog “RIbbit…” Ragatha whispered like a curse. Pomni followed the direction of her eye, her own widening. “That’s what’s been bothering him..” Pomni fidgeted with her fingers “do you know why…he’s been…taking naps?” Ragatha’s eye widened. “He’s been…what?” She said more serious tone then ever. Pomni noticed the shift in her voice.”i-i said he’s been taking naps….i-is that a bad thing?” Ragatha stood up abruptly “we need to go now.”
