DISCLAIMER: This is my personal opinion, I will never hate on someone because of their personal beliefs, if you disagree, I wouldn't mind hearing your argument in the comments, but please be civil and please be kind, you don't have to agree w/ everything I say, but please don't be rude or unkind. Ty! :) Okay, now w/ that out of the way... This is lowkey a rant (okay, it's a rant) but it's basically just my opinion on F4F (follow 4 follows) and AI Art. I've never actually posted a rant before so really sorry if this makes you extremely upset but I'll try to follow the Scratch Rules and Guidelines as I write this and (hopefully) won't offend anyone. So, Idk about anyone else but it really upsets me when I see a beginner artist resort to AI artwork, not even so much because it looks weird or that it's imperfectly perfect, but that it uses gallons of water everyday, it's replacing jobs, and a lot of people claim it as their own, now, if you think AI art is real art, then, okay I can see where your coming from, "Art is an expression of one's inner self" but personally I don't see it that way. Some people who are new to the internet don't realize it's Ai and will compliment the user (Ai generator) but often they have previous artworks that are clearly at a different skill level. And I'm not saying you shouldn't post your art just because your a beginner, heck, I'm a beginner and I'm still posting as if I have a million followers. It just makes me feel a little depressed to see someone give up on art and resort to AI. Please keep trying, I know you can achieve great things if you don't give up and let AI do it 4 you. And with that, it brings me into my next rant, F4F. F4F (for those of you who don't know) means Follow 4 Follow, which is an agreement that basically means: If you follow me, then I'll follow you. Of course, like I said, I won't hate you for it, but I might disagree. This is really petty but it bothers me a little that some people have been on for literal years genuinely trying to met new people (and sometimes gain popularity) while others joined 3 days ago and already have hundreds of people who merely want more follows. Now, ofc some people are actually really sweet and they've really tried to join the community, and they gain a lot of followers within a short time frame. A lot of people want followers on Scratch, and the best advise I can give is remember that not everyone is competing w/ you, (although a friendly competition doesn't count.) and ofc, put your projects out there, maybe in studios that ask for more projects or join a couple of rps, studios are great if you want to talk about something your passionate about, remember that Scratch isn't about the follows, try your best and someone will find you. Every kind comment you leave brighten's someone's day. (A lot!)
