I played the fangame of my Candle Quest series, Candle Quest Reflamed, and LOVED it. This will be all my thoughts on the game. First off, it's not every day that someone makes a fangame of your game series. It's really touching that someone loved my game's premise that much. MARIOWXT, you did twenty times better than I ever could. You made the characters feel so alive with the cartoon art style and animations. You also added so much detail, and I'm not just talking about the genius use of particles. You made things like the tiled floor and the recharging dash HUD look 100x better in ways that didn't even occur to me. I LOVED all the new potions. You made potions feel like part of the game, not a random afterthought like I did. Your enemy attack patterns were way cleverer than mine were. The boss battle was so epic, it felt intense and fun. That dilating of the background was AWESOME. I loved the boss's second stage. You made the game feel more engaging and professional. I do have some feedback that I want to give to improve player experience. The main bug was the fact that the player gets stuck on the background and obstacles. I don't know how you did your collision, but what I did for Candle Quest was to have Wicky unable to go past a certain Y position, which worked really well so you might want to consider switching to that to solve the background problem. I don't know how to fix the obstacles collision, but the main bug that affected gameplay was getting stuck on the background and then taking damage from an enemy. Also, the zombies were really big, I would suggest making them smaller. Some of the game was really hard, sometimes in an unfair way. Level 4 and the second stage of the boss were nearly impossible. (I had to cheat to get past these parts!) Something I would do to make it a little easier would be to make Wicky a little smaller and SLIGHTLY faster. That way Wicky would be able to dodge a little bit better, but of course it's up to you. All in all, this was utter FIRE. You did a really good job of keeping the idea of the original games but making it better. This was a work of pure art and awesome. There are so many new features, like the adjustable dash and the multiplayer mode. I loved some of the new designs for the artwork, like Flara's design. This fangame has got to be one of the best things that has ever happened to me. May you continue to make good games, games that can never compare to AI slop.
