❝The Anarchist's Goodbye❞ ♫Her eyes retain the reckoning♫ ★⭑ Ren took another step, their paws sinking into the snow, but their legs gave out right then. They didn't know why they thought they could beat that fox on their own, being such a small cat. Maybe they thought they could finally do something big for this place they had come to love. Yet here they lay, bl33ding out into the snow, a ways from camp, all alone. How pathetic, disappointing. They amounted to nothing in Flurryclan, and they'd amount to nothing here... Ren had failed. ⭑★ ♫Her eyes retain the reckoning♫ ★⭑ So there they lay, consciousness slipping away in the snow, thinking about how they had failed their home and their kit. And yet Ren didn't hate themselves like they thought they would in this moment. They were happy, weren't they? What better way to go, than defending the place that had finally made them feel like they belonged and mattered? Maybe that was the most important thing here. That they were happy. And they knew that with what they'd done, Ren would be joining mum soon. And they'd be together again, finally. ⭑★ ♫Her eyes retain the reckoning♫ ★⭑ So this is it. The "happy ending". If you could even call it that. It wasn't so happy, if you thought about the cat who would come upon Ren's cold body in the snow, or those who knew them back in their old clan, or Anarchy, the poor kit who would never really get to know their parent... But it was as happy an ending as a young flame like Ren could imagine. And it was what they got. So as the scene goes dark, and all fades to black, Ren smiles to themselves. They smile, because everyone knows, in any good story, the end is just the beginning. And a new life was just about to begin. ⭑★ So, this is the end of Renegade, formerly known as Cricket. They were a fun character to roleplay, and I'll miss them, though all good things must come to an end... Well, it isn't really an end, exactly. Ren will be going to the Dark Forest (mvrder thread in progress) so their story doesn't end there. Ren was never exactly a bad cat, per se, but it would still be an unnecessary k!ll. Also I don't want to separate them from their family for eternity?? Because like no one from their family went to Starclan? Yeah. No way am I doing that, that sounds miserable ;-; We can do short Dark Forest welcoming rps in the comments if you have a cat there, and feel free to drop o7's in the chat ^^ I don't expect this to get much attention LOL I wasn't as social as I could've been with this cat but oh well right? They still have some potential >:3 we'll just have to wait and see I hate drawing backgrounds and lineless art Technically Ren oofed of starvation but that's LAME and this is what I had planned before that happened and I didn't do all this for nothing so d3ath toll can go eat a lemon >:[
