Herpderp McProtagonist and his buddies have gone out for a lengthy road trip somewhere in the desert. Unfortunately, the techno-lich they've been trying to hunt down has sicced his zombies and who-knows-what-else on them, so Herpderp needs to hold off the endless hordes until the RV can make it to the dude's headquarters and gun him down. A playable defenders project where I put way too much effort into making the music player. Rather than using a possession system, the general idea is that each additional defender either has their own specific inputs, or uses the same controls as another. RULES: 0: Defenderpedia and bestiary are inside the project, so the description has space for additional controls. Additionally, make sure you update the paste-in credits I've left for you in the code of the music folder's tracklist sprite, and paste them into the notes and credits. 0.5: On the note of music, If you feel like the songs I picked out bring an unacceptable risk of the project getting taken down for copyright reasons, that is understandable, and I will try not to complain if you switch out the songs for royalty-free ones in your remix. Just update the credits accordingly, and make a good argument for why you believe a song needs to be removed in a remix. 0.75: On that note, feel free to make additional optimizations to the way the game's built in general. I imagine there's plenty of dubious code I turned a blind eye to. 1: Ensure proper balancing. If a defender wipes the floor with everything, make it so you have to buy them from a stop for a lot of money. If a defender is pathetic and does nothing, lend them some strength. Same goes for the enemies. 2: Minimize obtrusive elements. Don't let your sound effects get too loud, don't drown the screen in particle effects, keep the art style relatively consistent, and try to leave some room for other defenders. 3: Update the defenderpedia and bestiary when you add or change stuff regarding those. CONTROLS: -Mouse: Aim weapons/attack (note: ranged attacks are allowed to be mapped to things other than the mouse, but it is preferred) -Up and down arrow keys: Change lanes -N: Cycle items -M: Use item KNOWN ISSUES: -Game only advances to next wave after the spawn timer finishes up, rather than when the kill quota is met -Shopkeeper is currently a placeholder stickman with 0 personality
