Ok. I said that I wasn't going to bring this up. But I'm not going to ignore it. Letting AI use our art for 'training'- ESPECIALLY for the young artists and animators out there- is wrong. They are destroying these young peoples chances at being an artist, animator, author, or anything else that uses a creative mind. This is supposed to be a safe space for children, where they can freely create and express themselves. But that's being taken away. I'm now unsure if I should leave scratch due to this- specifically this. I have worked for MONTHS on a project that I was going to share for a map, but I no longer feel comfortable doing that. My future as an artist and author is disappearing before my eyes. This is outrageous, and I cannot believe this safe space would cause something so harmful to minors. Scratch Team- Please, see how much this is harming your platform- These scratchers are leaving due to their work being copied and used to train Artificial Intelligence. The platform is dramatically shrinking, due to so many of your scratchers being artists of some kind. Please, see this. I know we cannot make much of a difference- we are just scratchers- but we have a voice. Listen to your platform users. We aren't messing around. People are starting to take action. Listen to the brave people who are taking a stand. #StopAI
