Dear Scratchers, I have made this project to spread awareness of a humble request I have: A name change. I would like a name change from Community Guidelines This is because the term "Community Guidelines" can be misleading for people. This is what the dictionary says about Guidelines: guide·line [ˈɡʌɪdlʌɪn] a general rule, principle, or piece of advice: "the organization has issued guidelines for people working with prisoners" And this is what the dictionary says about rules: rule [ruːl] one of a set of explicit or understood regulations or principles governing conduct or procedure within a particular area of activity: "the rules of the game were understood" "those who did break the rules would be dealt with swiftly" the normal or customary state of things: "such accidents are the exception rather than the rule" Based on those descriptions, the word "Rule" fits the Community "Guidelines" more than the word "Guidelines". This is because Guidelines are pieces of advice, whereas rules are strict, explicit rules on what you must do. While I suppose "Guidelines" is a euphemism, and I understand that, it still is very illogical and misleading, causing Scratchers to break the community "guidelines" and be confused and upset that their project was taken down. What I am suggesting, is we keep the rules the same, but just simply replace the word "Guidelines" with the word "Rules". And in order to get the message to the scratch team, I shall need the help of scratchers to remix this project until it eventually gets to the Scratch Team. Kind Regards, @_Gil-Galad_
