The ASR-T1 is the standard small arm of the Federation of Ætrion's armed forces. It was developed at the Federal Center for Military Development in early 1321. Its creation was led by the chairman of the State Commission for Rifle Modernization, Lucius Marconius. The ASR-T1 was designed to replace the aging stockpiles of DX-2 rifles previously used by Ætrion after the Military Reform Act of 1317 was passed. The ASR-T1 is a hybrid thermo-electric operated rifle, shooting 5 mm kinetic rounds made of tungsten. Thanks to its system of operation, it is capable of firing rounds at an extremely high velocity. Also, thanks to its method of operation, rounds are much simpler, smaller, and lightweight, helping somewhat with the additional burden of carrying both battery packs and magazines. Though the rifle is kinetic, it is designed so that its rounds hit whatever target at great velocity. Great enough that when it comes into contact with said material, it briefly ionizes it, creating a splash of plasma. In this way, it is a compromise between the old guard and the new, between plasma weaponry and kinetic. The rifle is designed to be cheap enough that it can eventually replace all of Ætrion's old stockpiles without sacrificing reliability. Magazines can hold up to 40 rounds. To counter-balance the hefty barrel and bayonet, the battery pack is positioned in the stock.
Credit is justly due to ShadowFight2dojo for the original design of the rifle, one that I modified to fit my purposes. Also, credit to @Sillymink, I really liked their idea of having a thicker outline around an otherwise line-less vector, so I did try that out here, though mine is thinner and color-matched to the weapon. Probably not the best choice, but the colors are so pleasing to my eyes that I'm just gonna leave them until I feel like changing them later on. I mean, the enemy has a thousand ways of detecting one's troops anyway, but I digress. Not much of a description, but I didn't really feel like writing yap that no one will read lol. I will handily answer any posed questions. (No questions about how scari it is that my rifle floats magically smh)
