Why I'm Leaving the Minecraft Community.

I needed to share this, but now I am joining the boycott. DISCLAIMER: PLEASE don't spam hate in the comments, as I will delete it and not respond. If you are a fan of TommyInnit or dislike Dream for your own reasons, I respect that you have your own opinion. However, I am simply asking people to consider both sides of an argument before forming an opinion, acknowledge that EVERYONE makes mistakes, and to not spread hate. I have met a TommInnit fan IRL and they were respectful and didn't force their opinion upon me. I don't have a problem with people like that, only people who hugely overact, do nothing but spread hate, and/or think of TommyInnit as some sort of savior of the internet (like he claims he is) who has done no wrong. I acknowledge that YouTubers I support have made mistakes, but I still support them because they apologize, handle the situation well, and move on. This rant is based on an OPINION, although my opinion is supported by facts. If you read the title, you know that I am leaving the Minecraft community. This saddens me, as Minecraft is one of my favorite games of all time and I have been part of the community for a while. I know I haven't posted any Minecraft art or projects on here, but off-site I was doing that quite a lot until now. I will still be playing Minecraft, but I will no longer make art about it or get into any new SMPs or Minecraft YouTubers. However, I am still into the Dream Team, which makes Minecraft content. This means I will still be making art that is Minecraft related, but only for Dream Team fanart and projects. Now then, on to why I left the Minecraft community. I feel like being involved in this community has just put me through a lot of stress and other negative emotions recently. As a Dream fan, it can be exhausting and kinda depressing when people are STILL accusing him of things or spreading hate about things he has been proven innocent against! It's 2026! Get a life! I recently reviewed the Dream TommyInnit drama from a year ago and kind of just went numb. Yes, I acknowledge that Dream did some things that weren't perfect, too. However, when Nicholas Cage (one of the voice actors of Gumball) PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED Dream and called him slurs, everyone took Gumball's side! These people just want a reason to hate on Dream. Compared to how TommyInnit handled the situation, Dream's actions are nothing. Tommy threw lies around at Dream, weaponized George's false allegations, and did a lot of other things in his video. Even worse was that people went on TommyInnit's side, despite TommyInnit's entire video consisting of talking to the camera with NO evidence, while Dream's response video had photo evidence to back his claims. Even after things calmed down, it didn't get better. Tommy claims that he "moved on", even though he still constantly mentions and jokes about Dream and his false allegations with his friend group! He already used Dream to get popular because Dream was kind enough to give him a main role on the Dream SMP when he was basically a nobody before that, and then continues to milk Dream for views! Tommy may no longer be a child, but he still acts like one. Dream ACTUALLY moved on, and focused on his own content. One time Dream and his friends made a harmless joke in one of their videos and EVERYBODY rushed to spam hate and overreactions! I really don't know what happened to this community. I remember when being part of the Minecraft community was making parodies and animations and getting stupid things to trend on Twitter based on what happened during Dream SMP or MCYT streams. Even if people didn't watch Dream, the majority of them were decent people. Remember that? Remember when we were a kind community who didn't throw hate and false accusations around for no reason? I can't even get into a new YouTuber or Scratcher without them dissing Dream for no reason in a non-related video or project! It's happened multiple times! I know there are still people out there in this community who are kind and fun people. Unfortunately, they are spread too thin, and their kindness is blocked out by all the mindless hate that is going around. So although it saddens me, it's time to go. I have hope that this community can get better, but then again, I doubt it. Thanks for listening if you managed to make it through this entire rant. I could have gone into a lot more depth about all the issues, but that would have been far too long. On a positive note, Tommy is in one of the worst times of his YouTube career and has announced that he (kind of) quit YouTube to be a non-funny comedian! (don't watch his stand-up comedy clips they were so bad I literally cried) Meanwhile, Dream is on the rise with his Manhunt Revival series, with the first six hunter manhunt about to be released. I think this is justice and reflects on how the two handled the drama, one poorly and one well. Additionally, Dream's new song, Adrenaline, is set to release next Friday! I'm HYPED!
