[ major ghost power revamp coming soon as well! but that will have art as well ] --- the purpose of this revamp is to give a further use of stargazing past medic meetings and vague 'if an event comes along' -- as well as centralize medics as the main ghost communicators within a Clan. major change #1: without use of star's mouth, ghosts can now only visit immediate relatives. (parents, grandparents/grandkits, siblings, aunts/uncles, kits, nieces/nephews, mates) major change #2: star's mouth now has a 50/50 chance of killing whoever uses it via drowning, UNLESS blessed with a medic with the appropriate amount of stargazing exp. major change #3: because of this: leaders will now receive more or fewer lives depending on the stargazing of the medics they bring to the life ceremony, with a MAX of 9 lives. all three major changes are in the n+c. however, below is an explicit guide to how much stargazing does what -- p.s. medics you have no obligation to be a healer medic nor do you have any obligation to be a stargazing medic ur main goal is to just get enough apprentices so that ur clan has max of 6 medics so you can ALL share workload in a way that works for all of you,, whether it be specializing in healing, stargazing, or a little bit of both :) but please don't try to take it all on alone. (to prevent overuse/misuse of medics' blessing mechanics, please do not use stars mouth to train with a mentor. please only request it IF you have something important.) you may change your old mentors to new ones. -- i hope this change can put more of an emphasis on medics as important to talk to ghosts. messages to fallen friends must now be passed through medics. prophecies and ghost information and other fun ghost lore stuff that you guys create and all that now has to go through medics. etc. this also puts a bigger emphasis on star's mouth, which ignores this rule. if a cat successfully uses star's mouth they can visit any ghost. -- major change #2 "star's mouth now has a 50/50 chance of killing whoever uses it via drowning, UNLESS blessed with a medic with the appropriate amount of stargazing exp." star's mouth is the least dangerous during the medic meeting, due to the tide being at its weakest, hence the choice of the medic meeting time. other nights, it is /extremely/ dangerous. many cats have lost their lives in a desperate attempt to reach communication with their loved ones. when not an emergency, one can always ask a medic-- but if that's not an option.. there is a way. 50/50 death chance for every ghost visited (exception being leader's ceremonies. read major change #3) HOWEVER. if a non-medic wants to use star's mouth, or a medic who doesn't have enough stargazing, they can accompany a medic with enough stargazing in order to see the ghost they want, instead of taking a 50/50 death chance. the medic will bless the moontide for safe travel. whether you visit starclan or the dark forest depends on what both you and the medic want. (or the majority of you + medics, if multiple medics). if there is a tie, the tiebreaker is the medic with the highest stargazing. the medic(s) you bring are witness to your life ceremony. (though if you're a medic apprentice, you're typically just sitting in on your mentor's ghost visit) -- major change #4: leaders will now receive more or fewer lives depending on the stargazing of the medics they bring to the life ceremony, with a MAX of 9 lives. yes. yes i am evil. 9 lives is a lot, ok? you can bring up to six medics total to bless the moontide before ur leader character attempts to get lives. you will have 3 irl days to gather medics. you can lock in choices before then, but until those 3 days are up / you lock in your choices you have 1 life. to use stars mouth with a blessing from a medic outside your clan you need: -- that clans leaders permission -- the medic in questions perms -- you have to have roleplayed at least three times (3+ replies, like an actual roleplay) with said medic - if this is for a life ceremony this must be PRIOR to becoming deputy. PLEASE NOTE. ALL MEDICS GATHERED are agreeing to roleplay with you during the lifes ceremony and bless the waters inrp and attend / bear witness to ur ceremony. IF THEY CANT/dont want to BE THERE FOR THE ROLEPLAY, YOU CANNOT CHOOSE THEM. they must agree because it'd make sense inrp for their character. ANY oorp bribery such as art or gifts is strictly not allowed. they are allowed to decline for any reason. the sum of the medics' stargazing you bring will determine how many lives you get: 0-9 stargazing: nothing. nada. you don't even get recognized by ghosts as a leader, nor do you get a name (though you can always lie.) -- if you even attempt to use stars mouth you have a death chance 10-19 stargazing: you will get your reborn life (i.e. you're still at one life total) and your new name, typically given to you by the last leader who shared your alignment (starclan or df) but not always possible. 20-29 starg: you will have 2 lives after the ceremony and be given your name. if no medics or too few medics accompany you, you can risk star's mouth's wraith and take a 50/50 total death chance for this option instead (name and 2 lives) 30-39: you will have 3 lives and be given your name. 40-49: 4 lives + name 50-59: 5 lives + name 60-69: 6 lives + name 70-79: 7 live + name 80-89: 8 lives + name 90+: 9 lives + name -- you will receive lives from starclan vs dark forest depending on the majority of your medics alignments as well as your own (7 voters total). if there is a tie, the tiebreaker goes to the cat with the highest stargazing. if you want a certain place, make sure the medics align with your values. the medics you bring are witness to your life ceremony. -- when medics are gathered: - report to highrank coordinator with: -- their names -- proof of their agreement -- proof of leaders agreement (if out of clan) -- proof theyre legal options (if out of clan) -- their stc/df allegiance
