(THIS IS NOT MY ENTRY!) This was gonna be my original entry: Summer The sun is the warmth on my cheeks The heat in my body and the warm on the soft summer grass The beach The perfect place to spend the summer Camped out in a tent The smell of smoke and bug spray fills my nostrils as I breath in I breathe deeply The smell of salty seawater also assaults my nose As I breathe out, I think about my day Filled with long hours of swimming and exploring The crabs winked at me The wind stole my hair The mud squelched under my feet And between my toes (keep reading for chapter one of my story)
thanks to @Diamond_Gurl1 for hosting the contest. (THIS IS MY ENTRY!) But then I got a new idea for a short story: (this is chapter one for anyone that found it off a later chapter) The wind on my cheeks was salty and beautiful as I soared high above the sandy shores. The sunset pierced my eyes as a magnificent fuchsia, with splashes of a golden sun. I breathed in deeply and exhaled; this was going to be the last time I could do this. So lets make the most of it! I thought as I asked my beast to go faster. I could hear her panting as she beat her wings high into the clouds. She tucked her wings in and we were weightless as the sea came up to meet us. We had done this dozens and dozens of times these past few weeks, and it felt like the first time every time. "There's truly no place like the clouds," I thought as she expanded her wings and we started for home. chapter 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1276794718/
