PIXELATED is a game where you restore a broken, pixelated world. How to Play Use arrow keys to move your character Collect Pixel Blocks to fix the world Each pixel collected increases your score and improves the resolution Avoid Glitch Enemies — they reduce resolution and undo progress The game ends when resolution reaches its lowest level or when you choose to stop Try to beat the global cloud highscore Goal Restore the world to full resolution and achieve the highest score possible.
PROJECT NOTES (For Judges) This project intentionally starts with low-quality visuals and movement to simulate a pixelated/glitched environment Game mechanics are tied to the theme: Resolution affects movement smoothness Enemies cause “re-glitching” instead of traditional damage Broadcasts are used to control world state changes (restoring and glitching) Visual effects (colour, ghost, brightness) represent the world’s condition CREDITS Project Name: PIXELATED Created by: @SCRATCHER00-999 Programming & Game Design: SCRATCHER00-999 Art & Visual Design: Original sprites created in Scratch Paint Editor Pixel/glitch effects inspired by retro games Tools Used: Scratch (scratch.mit.edu) Special Thanks: Scratch community SDS organizers
