Hey, everyone. Nearly a whole decade ago, I joined this website called Scratch. I was only a kid experimenting and having fun with blocks and making things out of my mind, and still have after all these years. Here I met many people, including the friends I have today, who inspired me to keep this journey going, and built a base of over a thousand followers. Lately, however, things have been starting to take a turn. I'm almost 18 and I just started college about half a year ago. My priorities have been shifting more to what I do personally than what I work on. My future, basically my adult life, is more than important, as it's only the start of a new chapter in my life. An opportunity to try out new things. And on top of all of that, Scratch has been starting to grow less on me the more and more I grew up. To think the website was designed primarily for kids isn't quite an understatement. Scratch was the home of creativity for younglings alike, and it was more than just a coding website as more and more people began to join. The website has essentially evolved into a whole community, which has been until now. I've been wanting to explore new forms of posting my stuff for quite a while after a couple of years of losing motivation on what to share, and the recent "migration" of users (moreso one of the biggest user purges of Scratch since the initial introduction of Scratch 3.0 in 2019) following the controversial introduction of the new Terms or Service that happened gave me higher hopes to branch out and meet new faces throughout the web (keep in mind that I'm NOT pro-GenAI and refuse to have my stuff, essentially my assets, trained though it, including what Scratch will be implementing this year still). I've also faced a lot of things that I found irreputable for the website itself, especially last year, which I tried everything I could to avoid. It worked in the end, but I was still left worried. So to answer the question of this project: I'm putting this account on a state of "limbo", essentially meaning that I currently don't have plans to share any more projects in the foreseeable future and will come to a conclusion for what I'll do with Scratch much later on, all because of my current feelings with said website. I'm gonna be active more on YouTube and Bluesky, which will be the home for what I will be making on the internet going forward: YT for animations, Bsky for showcases, and both for general art. If you're interested in my stuff, you can always check me out on those two sites. Something is still in store though! On June 6, 2026, the day of my tenth anniversary on Scratch, I will be sharing a very special project in celebration of this occasion. I don't want to spoil anything about it, but it's gonna be something I've always been wanting to make for quite a while... Stay tuned! This is Lubine, also known as LF2K, signing off.
