on january 7, 2026, 37 year old, renee nicole good was att@cked by an ice agent for trying to back out of a scene that the agent told her to leave. she had just dropped her kid off at school. her wife was at the scene. furthermore, on january 20, 2026, five year old, liam conejo ramos was taken into ice custody whilst trying to go home from preschool with his dad. AND AGAIN, yesterday, january 24, 2026, 37 year old, alex jeffrey pretti, A PEACEFUL PROTESTOR AND NURSE, was attacked by an ice agent YET AGAIN. THIS should not be happening. ice agents ARE NOT police officers. they should not be able to have the power over people's lives that they have. let me remind you of our first ammendment as american's: the right to have free speech. therefore implying the right to peacefully protest, which is exactly what renee good and jeffrey pretti were doing when they were maliciously attacked by ice. I DO NOT CARE what your political views are. I DO NOT CARE if you are republican or democrat. if you see what ice is doing as "morally good" you have ZERO empathy in your heart. ZERO. back to liam. liam is FIVE YEARS OLD. please put yourself in his shoes for a minute. you're five years old, walking home from school with your dad, when you are RIPPED away from your family and sent to a detention center in texas. 1,277 miles from where you live. everything you know has been torn away from you. if this was me, i would be TERRIFIED. it is one thing to d3port someone who is doing crimes. its another thing to d3port someone who has moved to america to start a new life with their family. what is happening in minnesota DISGUSTS me and more people need to be talking about whats happening. you may be thinking.. how is this helping?? im only (10,11,12,13,14,15,16 etc). talking about what is happening and how cruel it is IS HELPING. talking about it spreads awareness to how corrupt our country is becoming. i live less than 5 hours away to everything thats happening in minnesota. i have family who lives IN minnesota. we can't let this continue to happen without consequence. my heart goes out to all who have been affected by this inequality. if you need someone to talk to about this im always here. please spread awareness on this topic. i know it might seem like its a small impact, but speaking up is always better than staying quiet. EDIT: You may think that this doesn't affect you, so why should it matter to you? But just because something doesn't affect you doesn't mean that it isn't right or that you shouldn't care. Take this scenario- Let's say that you think that cats are the best animals in the world. You also like dogs, but you still think cats are the best. Later, everyone who thinks dogs are the best animals in the world is being punished because the person in charge thinks cats are the best. You aren't being punished, but it's highly likely that you're going to feel that this isn't right, because these innocent people don't deserve to be punished just because they think dogs are better. Even though you aren't affected, you'd know that something isn't okay. Now, bring it back to what's happening right now. innocent people are being punished just because of where they came from, just because they wanted a fresh start in a new country. Just like how in the example innocent people were being punished because they loved dogs. This isn't right. Innocent people don't deserve to die because they wanted to come to America for a fresh start, or because they were speaking out about something that mattered to them. After all, how many times have you wanted a fresh start? And as much as you tell yourself it doesn't affect you, it actually affects everyone in this country. This isn't right, so don't act like it is.
