so, I’m pretty sure that almost every person on scratch knows about the new ToS, and how it said that Scratch was using our art for AI model training. Guys… it’s over. Scratch has stated that they aren’t using our art to train AI. They will still be USING AI, however. Just not on our art. Scratch plans to make a CLA, or Creative Learning Assistant, for scratchers to get help with their code through an AI chatbot. It only helps when asked, and is meant to spark creativity. And that’s not that bad. I know some people will be like, “it makes kids over-reliant on AI!” and things like that, but I (partially) disagree. Kids are smart enough to know the negativities of AI, and all these anti-AI projects are helping them. And if they want AI, that’s their choice, and we can’t stop them. If you don’t want to become over-reliant on AI, then DON’T. Now I’m not saying I support AI, because I definitely don’t. I’m just saying, the problem that most people were mad about (AI model training) is gone (for now ;-;). I’m not trying to be mean or (I can’t stress this enough) promote AI, I’m just letting you know that you can stop make protest projects. Hate comments will be deleting. The only sort of argument I will tolerate is a friendly, clean debate.
Guys Scratch might start using the AI on our art, but not as of now, and if it comes to the point where Scratch does do that, we can protest then, and I have a feeling Scratch might listen <3
