I LOVE the ATLA comic Smoke and Shadow- So for context I've been reading through the ATLA comics online and I finished most of them at this point, but hands down the best one IMO is Smoke and Shadow. It is SO good! Like so good that I want to go out and find a physical copy and buy it. SO good. There are a FEW things I don't like in it *cough cough KEI LO cough cough* but even tho Mai and Zuko aren't TOGETHER together anymore, they're still so sweet and make a cute couple. Like it HURTS to see them not together. And it did make me mad, Kiyi not accepting Ursa as her mother anymore cuz like "I KNOW SHE HAS A DIFFERENT FACE NOW BUT COME ON SHE'S THE SAME PERSON! SHE'S LITERALLY OUTSIDE OF IROH THE NICEST PERSON IN ATLA HISTORY AND YOU TREAT HER LIKE DIRT" but that did work itself out in the end, so goody for Ursa and Kiyi. And Mai's dedication to Tom-Tom- it's so sweet! Two of my favorite panels (there were many but these are top 2) are inside the project if you wanna see em. The Ty Lee and Mai exchange made me happy for some reason, too. But honestly Mai and Kei Lo splitting was like a breath of fresh air to me. At first I liked him a lil and was like "At least she's not with a terrible person" and then he made that snide comment to Zuko and I went from "I tolerate you" to "GET LOST I HATE YOU". And Azula! I am SO proud of her for finding her own path! (although it's a bit twisted and... Azula-y) She's finally at peace with her mother (well her hallucination mother anyway) and now just wants to make Zuko into a strong FIre Lord. Yay So yeah if you've read this far you're either a true ATLA fan, a weirdo, or just a good friend of mine :3
