I saw it again. My parents. Their faces were blurry, but I could just barely catch a glimpse of mother's fearful eyes as she rushed me ahead. I watched her get dragged away by a group of people, and I was left helpless and unarmed as my only family got taken, and probably...rid of. Tears welled in my eyes as I realized what happened. I was an orphan. And so I started to run. Faster this time. I tripped, fell, and everything went dark. And then... I blinked. "Amani?" Said the person I was talking to. I must have gotten lost in my early memories again. "Miss Oaks." Said the voice, now clearer. I shivered slightly, but continued to the conversation with a smile. Remembering is a skill I need to forget.
