Places to roleplay or just places for lore :D Sites for SS are here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1276631645 Astral Plane: In a seemingly endless void of shifting and blossoming colors, the only stationary thing is a thin, white grid that stretches on, and on, and on. The vacuum itself is disorienting, vibrant colors not only above your head but far below your feet. It looks as if you’re suspended in a wide sphere. Colors ripple and boil while they clash and war for space in the skies, while new colors displace the old in a never-ending cycle. Other regions have more dominant colors than others, and although these regions migrate and are far from stationary, they're some of the only landmarks in the vastness of the astral plane. The air is stagnant and cool, and carries a subtle stench of mildew. Significantly more exploration is required to fully map out the astral plane. Lady Kaesus: Cursed by Asterism and stripped of her sight, Lady Kaesus now upholds the astral plane and keeps it stable; keeps it from collapsing. She is located at the heart of the astral plane, the strands of the grid converging at her fingertips, where she has been carefully and painstakingly keeping the grid pulled taut for decades. Ripply Warpy Area: The grid that’s such a constant everywhere else warps and contorts into smooth, undulating waves. To walk through this region feels as if you’re wading through sticky mud or tar, but with little threat of actual injury it’s more of a nuisance than anything else. The deepest you could sink is up to your waist, the icy sludge penetrating even the thickest clothes scarily fast but leaving zero trace of its existence after the fact. More research is needed. Gateways: Gateways are small rips in reality that Silver Stars have adapted and harnessed to allow transportation between Origin–our world–and the astral plane. While descendants of Rosier are able to open new rips, allowing us to transport materials or larger objects onto the astral plane, no more remain after his rebellion and subsequent incarceration at Perihelion prison. Research facilities: Before Rosier destroyed the original gateway allowing materials, not just individuals, through, several outposts were built across the astral plane. Having fallen into disrepair after decades of neglect, few hold anything of value anymore. Parallax: The largest settlement of humans left in the world, set in a deep valley surrounded by snowy mountain peaks. The government is strict, but it isn’t tyrannical. Everyone has what they need to live comfortably at their disposal. Major Locations Within Outlook Park: A large recreational area with a community garden, a large pond with an island in the center and large migratory birds, and covered areas for event reservations. Along with the large grassy field that serves as the main recreational area. Town Square: A busy section of parallax lined with shops and street vendors, decorated with colorful banners and different colored flames in the street lamps during special occasions. Solstice: The large mountain ranges that surround the valley city of Parallax. Snow-tipped and incredibly dangerous to cross, you need specific permits from the government to even begin to climb them. Beyond: Beyond Parallax, beyond Silver Stars, and far, far beyond the mountains is endless wasteland. In order to protect its citizens, Parallax forbids exploration past the mountains. The only exception is a small merchant’s guild who has learned to live in the wastes, S.O.A.P., who routinely stop by Parallax for supplies in turn for their goods.
