NO ESCAPE Pilot script

Instructions

Script for Pilot: Setting: Dark, creepy, forest. There’s a full moon which is showed in the first few frames. Camera shows the full moon then zooms down into the forest. Jace walks into camera view. He pauses and looks around, his ears flattening. Jace: “W-where am I?” Jace looks down at his paws and his eyes widen Jace: “Why am I a cat?!” Jace looks up and a cat is standing in front of him. She is a yellow molly with blue eyes. Her name is Sandstone, though not revealed. She has an old raspy voice, given she’s much older then Jace. Jace is about 19 so he sounds a lot younger. Sandstone: “Are you new here?” Jace: “Where’s here?” Sandstone shushes him. Jace looks around and then over his shoulder. Behind him is a tall figure, it’s shape more human then cat. The figure is completely black with small white lines for eyes and a wide smile. So it’s face kinda looks like a smiley face. Sandstone: “Don’t. Move.” Jace’s ears twitch and his eyes widen more and more. He doesn’t move, just stares at the figure. He blinks, then it disappears. He sighs with relief then hears a scream in front of him. He spun his head around. Sandstone was gone. Jace stood, paralyzed. The screaming stopped, then silence. Jace still didn’t move. Then the scene ends with darkness and someone’s eyes opening. There’s complete darkness when Jace says: Jace: “Where am I?” Then the scene ends. Setting: Sunlit clearing with cats walking around. Jace comes onscreen and holds the screen like it’s a camera. Jace: “Hey. My name’s Jace. I’ve been trapped in this endless cycle of hell for about twenty six years. Basically, I do the same thing everyday.” You can do it so when he’s explaining it shows him doing it. Your choice. Jace: “I wake up, go hunting, see a monster in the woods, wake up, then the process repeats. I’m the only real human here. No one knows anything about the hell I’m in. We have a few restrictions here. Number 1, I remember everthing and cannot erase these memories. Number 2: If I tell any of the dynasty members about this, the day ends and everyone who I told forgets. Number 3: I used too many numbers. The point is that this place is a never ending cycle that I can’t stop. I have no idea if there’s others like me or if i’m the only one. I gave up trying to get out of here. There’s no escape.” Jace’s being a depressed little boi and is sitting by himself somewhere in the clearing. He’s drawing in the dirt. A young gray and white molly runs up to him, her face filled with excitement. ???: “Jace!” Jace groans and looks up at the molly. Jace: “What?” ???: “I’m-” Jace and ???: “A novice!” Jace: “Yes, I know.” ???: “Isn’t this exciting?” Jace: “Yeah…yeah sure.” The molly’s ears flatten. ???: “You don’t seem too excited.” Jace: “I am! Just tired.” From listening to you say this everyday for so many years. He thought. ???: “O-ok.” She smiles. ??? “Wanna come with me back to the hideout?” Jace: “Aren’t we already there?” ??? laughed. ???: “No, No. Jace you know this!” Jace: “R-right. Obviously.”
