The Kanallek Junction Railway is one of several lines operated by Chug-Along Railroad Holdings. The railway exists in the fictional town of Kanallek, Indiana. It was opened in 1982 and is 3 miles long, with it switching 2 plastic product plants and an office product manufacturer. In 2005, the two plastic product plants closed and the office product manufacturer followed in 2008, with the line now only being used for car storage. However, since 2022 no cars have been stored on the line and the locomotives haven’t moved in a few years. The railway was purchased by CARX in January 2026 but its future is currently in limbo. Here are the two locomotives: - KJR 7015: A MP15AC that was built new for the for the railroad in 1982. This one has been in storage on the line since 2022. - KJR 7016: Also a MP15AC, this one was built and purchased in 1983. When it was at EMD, the plate underneath the windows was swapped with one from a Southern Pacific engine. This engine was transferred to Chug-Along Railroad Holdings’ storage facility in Accomak, Virginia and was sold in April 2026.
