This ia a reference to a book called "Nura and the Immortal Palace" by M.T Khan (goated book btw, u shud read it :] ) For those who are willing to read, I won't spoil much, but I'll tell the lore So basically the main character Nura, a 12 yr old is from Pakistan and works in mica mines (which is illegal, but the reason why it's still done is in the story), and her mother works as a tailor, and she has 3 other siblings. She takes the work as a miner from her deceased father, hoping to support her family, and mother. So in Chapter 4, she comes across a random schoolgirl who drops her pencil (and while they don't really interact in the original story, I just, y'know, made it happen :P), so she narrates her plight and the schoolgirl advices her to just, quit mining, which is pretty much an annoying thing for Nura to hear, bcz she has to support her family, and simply bcz she never liked the concept of school much.. So that's basically it :) And yes what I mean by " I won't spoil much" is this entire essay :]]]
This is my most favourite book btw, idk, it just has a different vibe to it, HUGE credits to M.T Khan for the characters and this wonderful book :D And yes, if you noticed, I have changed into bitmap with a different style which is my own art style, hope you like it :D I actually wanted to draw the characters and put them at the end so that'll be for later, when i get time (skull 30-5-2026- I drew them, I just gotta put em here-
