Instructions

I woke up on my birthday. Today was going to be so much fun! I also saw a pile of presents at the foot of my bed. As I walked into the Living room, I saw my Mum, Jane Potter, sipping a cup of tea and behind the Daily Prophet as usual; then, at the window and writing a letter, my Dad, Max potter, and sitting at the table and eating a Fizzing Whizzbee, my older and annoying brother, Brandon potter. As soon as they saw me, they said, "Happy birthday, Irene!". Brandon looked at me and said, " I wonder how you didn't open your presents yet," I looked at him, wishing i knew a spell then and there. "Shut up." I said. Brandon is starting his 5th year at Hogwarts. mum and dad both work at the ministry of magic. mum is the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. dad is the Head of the department of magical games and sports. "Okay, so we are going to drop you at Jack's place for a bit." dad said. "Will Roxanne be there too?" I said immediately. Jack Weasley and Roxanne Granger were my best friends, and they also were my cousins! "You'll see," mum said, with a mysterious smile. " There'll also be a surprise there!" Brandon said. Dad dropped me off at Jack's place. I looked around. Jack was probably inside. I looked out of the window and saw 2 owls flying right to us. Jack walked out and shrieked at the sight of the owls, who sat on my head. "Happy birthday Irene?" he said, walking towards me to take the owls off my head. "Thanks," I said. " I'm not used to this." Jack's mom came out from a room. "Oh, you got your letters!" she said. That's when I saw my name on one of the letters. I untied the letter and the owl flew off. I looked at the seal. The Hogwarts crest. "Yippee!!" I said, opening the letter and looking at the list of things. "Finally, we're going to Diagon Alley!" I walked through the crowded street, looking up at the big white building that was Gringotts. "Irene! Over here!" Roxanne said. We had an amazing time. We went to Ollivander's after getting some money. "How is he alive?!" Jack whispered in my ear, grinning. Roxanne went first. She got a Holly wand. I noticed 2 girls in a far corner. they seemed to be waiting for their turn. I regreted turning because I missed Jack breaking an entire shelf. It was my turn next. I tried at least 30 wands before a cherry and dragon heartstring wand chose me. We went to Flourish and Blotts for books and quills. I saw those to girls again! This time, i went and spoke to them. "Hi!" I said. "H-hi..." said one girl, looking scared. "I'm Irene." i said. "And you?" The second girl spoke. "I'm Iris. This is Ophelia. She's a bit paranoid." She said. "Nice to meet you." We shook hands. At that moment, Roxanne called, "Come on, Irene! We're going!" I rushed out of the store saying, "ByeIgottogo!" (Bye i got to go at superfast speed). Little did I know, that wouldnt be my last meeting with them!
