Slogan: "The idol of light-duty vehicles." The Tadashi Minamoto was a series of reliable but small and fun Japanese light-duty kei trucks. It was introduced in 1990, and it IMMEDIATELY became popular upon first launch. Despite its main association with Tadashi's lineup of light-duty vehicles, people even enjoyed pairing it with the later Nikaido, Konno, and even Tatsumi models, forming the unofficial, fan-dubbed "Idol Lineup". This vehicle also came without a plastic trim if people didn't prefer it, but plastic trims lowered production costs a bit. It came with a flurry of variants- an EV for the early days of electric vehicles, a budget-friendly model equipped with a 1.0-liter engine for low-income countries using parts supplied from CFC (Short for [REDACTED] Fox Company), roof rack accessories, cargo and passenger vans which also had high roof versions, as well as box, flatbed, moving, and cutaway chassis versions. There was also a special "Saga Edition" of the truck which was put on auction and sold to a private, anonymous buyer, as only one unit of it exists. It is based on the pre-facelift Subaru Sambar from the 1990s. Although it had a good reputation, it gained huge notoriety when it was involved in an accident in 2008 in a residential zone. This made people ditch it for other light-duty vehicle and kei truck models, and the Minamoto's plug was immediately pulled after Tadashi Motors heard of the accident, as they believed the vehicle's good reputation was officially damaged, with 20,818,000 units produced. NOTE: The Tadashi Minamoto "Saga Edition" is NOT FOR SALE!!! >:(
