Introduction --- Hey! I'm Indigo, an avid writer, digital artist, and musician who loves cats... especially magical ones. You mostly see me in TFC, but I am working to join other roleplays because I love the concepts of everything! I am a big fan of Pokémon, and my favorite Pokémon is probably either Reshiram or Whimsicott. Who am I applying for and why? --- I'm applying for Swankit! The moment I saw Swankit, I was instantly bewitched by her beauty. She was simple by design, but she seemed to be amazing to style through lineart, and the curls on her fur drew me in. And then I started researching the family tree (+ the reincarnation of Silverstar), and I knew this was a character with a very interesting family, which is something I always look for when plotting. I believe that if I win Swankit, I can create unique dynamics that go beyond a simple father-daughter and sibling dynamic. IceClan itself is a fun clan due to the recent changes in policy and leadership irp. I can see Swankit being curious about this history and seeking to go beyond into the land of the sun (despite her physical aversion to it from albinism). I think her main theme will be trying to defy her limits and the expectations of others. Personality --- I'll just give some rambles here! - Loves the sunshine but never tells anyone - Has big dreams, but keeps them a secret so other cats don't accomplish them before her - Wonders what fire feels like? Is it comforting like other cats say? Or will it burn her? - Icarus allusions? Just an idea that I'll build on. - Builds snow castles because one day she wants to live in a castle with her beloved siblings - Doesn't hesitate to do things of questionable morality because she knows her father won't punish her - "If they get in trouble, he will always defend their actions since they are perfect in his eyes. Even if they had the worse actions." - What if I make her slightly evil.. hrmmmmmmm... I like this idea that her father defends her actions even if they're bad. And since she looks so pure, it's almost as if she can't do anything bad. Plot, plot, plot! - She's so interested in achieving her dreams that she'll subtly manipulate, use, or sabotage other cats to be the one to get recognition for it - Hates it when people steal her ideas, but is hypocritical in the sense that she readily uses other cats to reach her own seemingly-unobtainable desires - Secretly very calculating. But you can't see it because her eyes are always kind and her appearance is always timid and unassuming. - Talks in the sweetest voice ever, not even in a fake way - Asks cats for help in that same sweet manner. No one can say no to her, but she'll ask for more and more. She'll target the most people-pleasing/emotionally vulnerable cats to do dirty work for her to keep her image pure. - She'd totally frame others and gaslight them. - Cries a lot to make herself look weak and like a baby - Cozies up to those with power because she knows they will give her leverage - Really good at puppy-dog eyes! She learns it from Swiftkit - Deceitful and intelligent- defies appearances. Kind of like her inspiration Helen of Troy! Paints herself as a helpless damsel, though other cats are none the wiser. Research --- Albinism in cats is a rare genetic condition in which the cat lacks pigment. This happens when a mutation affects the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for color. They are more sensitive to sunlight because melanin normally helps protect against ultraviolet radiation, and they don't have melanin. In many cases, albinism in domestic cats is linked to mutations in the tyrosinase (TYR) gene, which is essential for producing melanin in the body.
