"I Know Him So Well" from Chess -cover art & singing by me :) There are 3 backdrops! 1 cover, 1 foolishly handwritten form response, and a transcription of the form response because my handwriting is likely unintelligible. Song Context: A song between the mistress (Florence Vassey) and wife (Svetlana Sergievsky) of Soviet defector (important to note that he LEFT HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN IN RUSSIA) and current chess world champion Anatoly Sergievsky (based off of real life figure Anatoly Karpov). This is my favorite type of breakup song where they both agree that Anatoly sucks and gang up to berate him in Endgame #3. I would love to go into more detail but this is The Voice Scratch and not Wikipedia. . . . CHESS TRIVIA TIME: Of the 2 composers (Benny Andersson + Björn Ulvaeus, both from ABBA funnily enough) and lyricist (Tim Rice) of Chess, 2 had divorced their wives between 1980-1981, and the third had an extramarital affair revealed in the tabloids in 1980. Now, I'm not saying this has anything to do with the concept album for Chess that they started December 1980, but I am saying that it explains a lot about why Chess is the way it is.
