LYRICISTS ASSIGNMENT 1 OK so i have a sort of idea for the debut!!! I’m thinking we should do something easy, either we could do a debut ep or a song but let’s start with just one song because I don’t want to bite off more than i can chew. I was looking at bl + some other random mixing softwares because I’ve literally never mixed, much less produced, anything b4 and in garageband I saw some samples called stuff like “Apollo 11 countdown” and it gave me this idea: the song could have an intro, outro, and possibly interludes with samples like this, like for the intro an audio testing the intercom sorta thing spaceships have, an interlude with a countdown for liftoff right before the beat drop or something, and an outro where the spaceship has landed!!! idk if that makes sense, but I put some of the specific audios that inspired this in the proj if you click the green flag lol. because this is a space themed group, I thought this was a good starting point for the concept of the song! It wouldn’t necessarily be these specific samples but smthn like this definitely! Sorry for yapping, here’s the actual assignment: This is basically just a brainstorm!! What I’d like yall to do is put basically every idea you have (preferably with the above idea as the concept, or just something space themed) for the debut in the comments. Like, any lyric ideas, concept ideas, ideas for what the song is about, style ideas. My main inspo was a katseye kind of style, so maybe aim for that but that’s not a strict requirement or anything. I’ll let you guys do that, and I’ll put ideas there too! Then, we’ll kind of… assemble the ideas, pick which ones were gonna use, and u finalize the song lyrics!! As of now, none of this is final so just have fun and come up with as much as possible, there’s no such thing as a wrong answer for this assignment.
