>> [DOUBLE CLICK THE FLAG EVERY TIME]< =================================== Welcome to the 2nd demo for my upcoming Dragon Ball game! This version has a lot of new elements and added mechanics, including sound! The full game will have a tutorial, but for now, read below to learn how to play! =================================== [The Basics]: Your goal is to reduce Jiren's HP (in the top right) to 0 before the orange time meter runs out! The game will also end if your HP (in the top left) is reduced to 0. Your team, as seen at the top of the screen, is comprised of 3 units, an ATK unit (Goku), a DEF unit (Vegeta), and a TEQ unit (Android 17), each with a different role. Every turn you will draw 3 random skill cards (in the bottom left) from your deck. Each card has different effects and costs, you can view the card's description by hovering your mouse over it! You can play 1 Companion (in the bottom right) in addition to your skill card for the turn. These companions have various effects, and you can view each description by hovering your mouse over it. Once you play a skill card, your team's ATK member (Goku) will perform the skill. Then the turn passes to your opponent, Jiren. When it's your opponent's turn, your team's DEF character (Vegeta) will be in use. Additionally, you can use your TEQ character (Android 17) by clicking on them at any time during your turn, however your turn will end when you use it. In this demo, Android 17 will increase your TEQ stat by a 1.5x multiplier! =================================== [The Meters]: Below your health bar is your ki meter, which can be used for skill cards and the Rising Rush. At the start of every turn, if you played a different card than the turn before, you'll gain ki. In between the health bars, you'll see the dragon ball meter (The line of white dots). At the beginning of every turn you have a 50% chance to collect one! Once you collect all 7, you can activate the Rising Rush, which will use all of your ki and the Dragon Balls. The Rising Rush deals more damage the more ki you use to activate it! You cannot activate the Rising Rush on the same turn you use a companion's ability. Above the Dragon Ball meter is your current team composition, and your team's color, which has no effect during this demo. And lastly, there are your stat gauges! On the left side of the screen there are 3 stat icons, for ATK (the fist), DEF (the armor), and TEQ (the ball). The ATK stat increases your damage multiplier, the DEF stat is unavailable in this demo, and the TEQ stat increases the ki you gain each turn. You can hide these gauges by pressing "X" on your keyboard!
