Chapter One. Nightburst. Nightburst walked through the halls of Jade Mountain with countless other dragons trailing behind him. ‘Well this should be a fun experience.’ He was thinking about the war and… and seeing- he cut off his own thought. ‘This place is supposed to help me.’ He thought. ‘I wonder if anyone knows…’ He walked through the halls and straight into a Skywing. Great. “Sorry.” Nightburst said. “It’s alright.” The dragon replied. As her head turned he could see something. ‘Nightwing, Sandwing, and Skywing hybrid. Hm.’ “I’m… Flare.” She said. “Nightburst.” He replied. As he walked on he heard her call something to him and he stopped. “Wait! Do you know where Jade winglet is?” He turned around and replied. “I’m actually heading there myself.” He looked at his map and, just like he anticipated, it was 5 caves ahead. “Right ahead.” He saw a green dragon in the cave look up. “You guys my denmates?” She said. “Yeah.” Nightburst replied. He could feel something… happen when he looked at Flare. ‘I’m being stupid.’ He thought to himself. ‘I wonder if there’s anything to eat…’ He walked down to the prey center and joined a hunting team. They flew into the mountains. While everyone was searching. He spotted a goat on the side of a mountain and dived for it at breakneck speeds. He noticed everyone staring at him and his face burned. But that one dragon…. ‘Nevermind.’ He thought. He caught the goat before it could react. In less than a second, dozens of dragons swarmed him. “How did you see that?” A Skywing asked. “Can you teach me how to do that?” Another dragon asked. He had to squirm out of the crowd just to eat. ‘Yeah this should be…. An experience.’ He thought. He was eating when that dragon Flare walked up to him. He felt his heart jump and noticed it immediately. ‘Again, I’m being an idiot.’ He looked up. Flare spoke. “Hi. Mind if i sit down?” She asked. “Sure.” He replied. He offered her some goat. “Thanks!” She said. “That was a nice catch.” Flare said.
