Weeks. Ginger is out of season. I can't handle all the cooking alone, some toons don't get enough. But Sprout wouldn't just...evaporate, was it Sam? I- "Cosmo, that butter is about to burn!" Tisha exclaimed. I started at the bubbling butter in the pan. "Sorry." "Nothing to say sorry about." "Tisha," I paused. "Do you think something weird is happening?" "What do you mean?" "Sprout has been gone for almost 3 weeks. Bobette got pulled back way sooner than the other event things. Vee and Astro are always doing something." "I'll tell you what. I'm an ally, not someone to fret on, but Vee and Astro have been really weird. I think Vee knows something she shouldn't, but instead of being civil and warning us shes....doing whatever shes doing." Tisha scoffed. "I never really knew her." I said quietly as I flipped the bread, it sizzled. Tisha looked at me. "He's not hurt is he?" She sighed. "No way in Tooniverse." Vee walked in before Tisha said anything else. "Speak of the devil.." Tisha muttered, then walked away. "Vee, I... was wondering-" I paused. "What is it, Cosmo?" Vee looked at me intently. "Do you know where Sprout went..?" I don't know if asking was the correct call or not. "Oh, Cosmo..." She now looked at me with a soft demeanor. "Please. I need to find him." "I..." Vee talked slowly. "There was some sort of twisted but it wasn't a twisted or something and Shelly has been injured for a long time so I made this stupid system to put people in after I put metal in them and I got him first but I can't take you because you're the food source to the toons here and-" Vee looked like she was about to pass out. "Vee. Its fine. You're a smart person." She looked up. "You don't even know me." "I know you have a pulse, and you're a toon, too. That's enough for me." Vee turned around. "I'll be right back." She dashed away. A few minutes later she came back with her hands behind her back. "Woah, did you get arrested?" "No, I...Do you have a drink or something?" "No, but I have a plate of french toast, why?" Could I...Prehaps...Um...Look at it for a second? I um, know something that would help." Vee stuttered. I nodded and she turned to the plate. "Alright. That's all I needed." "And what did you do excactly?" "I....I'm helping you see Sprout. He's...stuck in the system, I put him in there before I finished this chip." "But I need to cook here." "R-right. I know. This one can transport toons." Did I want to engulf her strange disk? No. Should I? Maybe. "It wont hurt..I don't think." I looked at her. "What's up with the soft....speech?" Vee straightened up. "Sorry, I just...I know what it feels like to lose track of someone." I smiled. "I'm proud of you."
