hello Yal! this is daisy, my OC, and this is my favorite piece yet! thank you all for supporting me! Backstory---------------------------------------------------------------okay, so Daisy used to be a normal girl, light brown hair, blue eyes, and a charming smile. there was a forest near her home town, dark and creepy. she loved to wander into the forest, laughing softly whenever her friends would get spooked by a creaking tree, or a rustle in the bush. one day, she decided that she would explore farther into the forest than she had ever gone, wanting to prove to her friends that the forest was safe. years of exploring had taken her into the forest pretty far, but this time, she was going to go further. as she explored past her previous marker for how far she went, she noticed the trees were tightly woven, the leaves thick above her, barely any light getting through. as she gingerly stepped over a fallen branch, her foot landed in a concealed hole on the other side, making her fall, landing on her knee in an awkward position. she called for help, but no one was there. eventually she got up, but her ankle throbbed, and she wasn't sure she would be able to make it back. a second later, a raven landed on her head, pulling at her hair and cawing loudly. in Daisy's culture, a raven meant divine guidance, or a new beginning. filled with hope and joy she hopped in the direction the bird was pulling. the bird, seeing she was complying, let go and flew off. Daisy chased it as best as she could, arriving in a field full of beautiful daisies of every kind. red, purple, yellow, white, you name it. the raven landed on a tree near the center of the pasture, next to a pond. she looks down at her reflection, her light brown hair waving in the wind, her blue eyes shining in the sun. the bird cawed again, flying down at the pond directly in front of her, touching the water, only enough to make the water ripple slightly. but it made all the difference. daisy gasped, as she saw her features change right before her eyes. her hair turning white the front tips turned green, not unlike the stems of the flowers just three feet to her side. the bottom ends of her hair turned pink, like the Gerbera daisies on the green stems. her eyes turned golden, like the center of the flowers. in her reflection words showed. "Daisies can heal you" terrified, Daisy picked a daisy smelling the center, when nothing happened, she reluctantly brought the daisy to her mouth, taking a small nibble of one of the petals. the raven crowed, sounding like laughter. she shot a glare at it, but didn't attempt to eat it again. the raven hopped toward her, grabbing a nearby daisy from the ground, and laying it on her ankle, pressing it with its sharp talon, though the birds feet were soft. sweet relief spread over her ankle, making her sigh softly. when she realized the bird flew away, she stood up, testing her ankle. when she was assured that it was safe to put pressure on it, she walked around the field, collecting daisies and putting them in her pocket. when she could fit no more, she took off toward home, trying to ignore the loudest thought in her head: New beginnings. her white hair flopped around as she ran. she felt no different, but now that she thought about it, all the fruit, and the herbs seemed outlined and glowing catching her attention everywhere she looked. when she reached her home, all her friends stared. they all were there, but none of them seemed to recognize her. tears filled her eyes as one of them stepped forward, puffing up his chest as an eight year old. "who are you?" he asked, and that was the end of it. as hard as she tried, it seemed that she was erased from all their minds. years later, she changed her name, and she still struggles through life with the trauma. ~Please follow for more~
