Before playing this, I should mention that it takes place a few years before the first book of the Mistborn series, called The Final Empire. If you haven't yet read the Well of Ascension, you might have some things spoiled for you. If you beat the game, the story I made at the end, despite not being completely true to the Cosmere, can spoil some minor things from later books. If you are not planning to read these books any time soon, first: READ THEM. Second, feel free to play this game as a great prelude to it! Backstory: The Lord Ruler, the evil and immortal tyrant has just established a new "cleansing" raid of allomancy from the Final Empire, by going from town to town and catching all potential skaa, and bringing them to Kredik Shaw, the Lord Ruler's giant castle. You are a mistborn skaa, having access to all the allomantic powers, but your crew has been captured. You just snuck into Luthadel, and you must break into Kredik Shaw to save them! There are 3 kinds of enemies who will try to stop you. The first and least dangerous of these is the hazekillers, mistings that launch coins at you, and are really hard to hit, as they hide inside homes often. And yes, for those of you who are Mistborn nerds, hazekillers are not normally coinshots, but for this game, I can do whatever I want :). These people are hired to destroy people like you who defy the Lord Ruler, so watch out! The next of these are the koloss. Strange, mutant large blue humanoids who will chase you at crazy speeds, even breaking straight through building to get to you! These can take a lot of coins to take down, as you can launch coins at a super powerful speed (explained soon). The last and worst of these all are the steel inquisitors, though none are out on the streets. The inquisitor can use all the same powers you can but has an incredibly dangerous supply of atium. The only way for you to stand a chance against these creatures is to, well, be REALLY lucky, and have TONS of metals. They also can empty reserves, so watch out! The first follows like koloss but deals WAY more damage. The next unleashes streams of coins like hazekillers. The third also summons lots of fast koloss, and each inquisitor has more health! Good luck! To summon an inquisitor, you must press the right 4 letters while atop Kredik Shaw. No, inquisitors are not storm troopers. Also because you read this far, I can say that there are 2 cheats in this game. If you win, you will not only get a super fun ending, but also my personal recommended reading order! This may feel a little out of order, but now I will go over controls! For basic movement, use the arrow keys. To burn metals, press and hold a number: 1. Iron - you will move in the direction you're pointed at a super powerful speed, pulling on the metals in the buildings. This can get you on top of a roof. 2. Steel - You can attack the dangerous foes by pushing on metal coins which will act like bullets! Sometimes it takes multiple to take down a foe. 3. Tin - This enhances sight and you are less afraid to move a bit quicker! 4. Pewter - You can move quicker, are more resistant to damage, and with tin, are far faster than usual! 5. Zinc - Inspire the locals to join your cause! By making their rebellious emotions stronger, the fellow skaa with aid you in battle! They may be weak but are really strong in numbers! 6. Brass - You can take control of the koloss! Something unique about their nature allows you to take control of them and cause them to flee away! 7. Copper - Confuse the enemies by suddenly going off the radar! The koloss and hazekillers will be unsure of where you are and stay in place, and the inquisitor can be delayed for a few seconds. 8. Bronze - You can suddenly see and interact with anything hiding inside of homes. This is a great counter against hazekillers, but keep in mind that they'll also be able to attack! In addition, there are signs hidden in some homes telling you instructions to entering Kredik Shaw and are vital to winning1 the game. They can only be seen with this metal burned. If this isn't already enough, if it's burned while around inquisitors, it will show how many more coins you have to hit it with. Keep in mind that coins hitting the inquisitor register as one if too close together. 9. Technically this should be gold, but that...is pathetic... No one in their right mind would burn it, as it does nothing beneficial but display a shadow of your identity at some point in the past. Useless. 10. Atium - This mysterious and legendary metal, when burned, can grant you the ability to see the future action of everyone else, and therefore have the ability to counter it however you like! In other words, you're unstoppable, predict the near futures of others, and incredibly effective as well. Keep in mind, however, this is the rarest and burns the fastest, so be sure to ration it! If you run out of health, don't worry! You will respawn at the start with boxings and metal supplies halved.
If you haven't read the first two books in the Mistborn series, specifically The Final Empire and the Well of Ascension, a few things are going to go over your head. Please read these two books. I wish I can say they're short, but I can't, so I'll instead say that I can read both in a day or two. Incredible thanks to Brandon Sanderson, the genius behind the Cosmere! "There is always another secret" - Kelsier LET THE CREDITS ROLL! Credit to PRAshark45 for spelling error corrections. Music from Real Myst (videogame), The Blasting Company, and Daft Punk. Credit to myself for this amazing program and story at the end. (And yes, the story is not the best, but it's still fun to consider. It's more a "huh? What age are we?" kind of story) And a special thanks to you for playing this game! And as a side note, a LOT of my published projects are not showing up, including this one. This issue is caused primarily because of the index of these projects being so high (1277452633), which Scratch's updating system never reaches. I'm... not sure if they even know about this problem, but projects can no longer be added to Scratch (at least no one I know can). Because of this, please share this project other ways. This can be found in most Mistborn studios or in my account (usually featured). When I read the Well of Ascension, I was certain Kwaan was a kandra. Also, because you read this far, and because I ran out of space in the instructions, to begin a Siege, press the letters K, A, and L at the same time. If this is done multiple times, you will get harder sieges to combat. Put simply, hazekillers and koloss spawn a lot faster. This is really helpful if you want to speed up the game. There are 5 levels of a siege you can do, each 30 seconds longer than the last. Good luck, allomancers! (Also, buying from stores only works if not in a siege or battling an inquisitor)
